Sex, God, & the Ache for More
Desire isn't the problem—it's the pointer.
Scripture tells one story from beginning to end: we were made for union with God. It starts in a garden, peaks in a love poem, and ends at a wedding feast.
But somewhere along the way, our longings got tangled. What was meant to draw us toward love often leads to pain, shame, or loneliness instead. And in a world offering endless ways to satisfy the ache, most of us are still searching.
Sex, God, & the Ache for More is an 8-week journey through that story—what God originally designed, how it broke, and how the gospel puts it back together. At the center is the Song of Songs, an ancient love poem that's surprisingly explicit, strangely holy, and full of clues about what we were made for.
What to Expect
This series is for grown-ups.
It won't be graphic or sensational, but Scripture itself is startlingly honest about sex and desire—and we're going to follow its lead.
If you're wounded or cautious, you're welcome here.
We'll talk openly about what the Bible says, but our goal isn't to shame—it's to create space for God's Word to do what it does best: heal, redirect, and set us free.
We've invited an expert.
If you have questions, so do we. That’s why we’ve invited Dr. Mark Yarhouse, a clinical psychologist from Wheaton College. He’ll join us on Sunday, February 1st. He's spent decades listening to LGBTQ+ people and their families. If questions about sexuality or gender identity are part of your story – or someone you love – this weekend is for you.
We'll approach these conversations with grace and truth, treating everyone as they truly are—loved by God and made in His image.
All are welcome. Questions are expected.
